Frequently Asked Questions
1. What types of bike chains do your cleaning tools work with?
Our chain cleaning tools are designed to be compatible with most standard bicycle chains, including single-speed, 6 to 12-speed, and select e-bike chains. Please check the individual product page for detailed compatibility information specific to each tool.
2. How do I use the chain scrubber?
Fill the scrubber reservoir with your preferred bike-specific degreaser, close the lid securely, and clamp the tool around the lower section of your chain. Backpedal the crank smoothly for 20–30 revolutions to let the rotating brushes and degreaser work through the links. Once done, open the drain plug to release used fluid, then wipe the chain with a clean rag. Follow up with chain lubricant after the chain is dry.
3. Will the brushes damage my chain or components?
No. Our tools use bristles specifically selected for effective cleaning without scratching or damaging chain links, seals, or surrounding components. The brush designs are tested to provide thorough dirt removal while being gentle on your drivetrain.
4. Can I use any degreaser with your cleaning tools?
Yes, our tools are compatible with most bike-specific degreasers and cleaning solutions available on the market. We recommend using a biodegradable, bicycle-formulated degreaser for best results and to protect your tool's components from harsh chemicals.
5. Are the tools easy to clean after use?
Absolutely. Rinse the brushes and reservoir thoroughly with water after each use to remove degreaser residue and trapped dirt. Allow all parts to air dry completely before storing. Regular rinsing helps maintain brush performance over time.
